back to the whole journal business....

Sat Dec 12, 2009, 7:01 PM
well i haven't been updating the journal for a while... so i guess i might as well just start ranting about my life here :D

topic1: School Life
Well, considering the fact that i go to the "Fame" school, its kinda normal for me to feel really good about that. But there's just one English teacher that gets on my every last nerve! I don't want her to accidentally find this, so I'm gonna just say that her name rhymes with Proctor Crows. Anyway Proctor Crows is a HUGE grammar freak. So if she found this and knew I was one of her students, then she'd prolly strangle me = =; She's nice sometimes when she corrects my errors, because that's what real teachers are supposed to do. But sometimes, she's a TOTAL BITCH meany!!! That's right I said meany, just because I want to stop my habit of cursing all the damn time.... moving on... She practically YELLS at me on my essays telling me to add more details. So when I wrote another essay, she yells at me for writing "superficial facts". Okay, so I know what "facts" are. But what the HELL IS SUPERFICIAL supposed to mean?! Do i LOOK like i have a large vocabulary? I THINK NOT! So I looked it up at dictionary.com that's right. im too lazy to look in a REAL dictionary and it said "[soo-per-fish-uhl]
–adjective
1. being at, on, or near the surface: a superficial wound.
2. of or pertaining to the surface: superficial measurement.
3. external or outward: a superficial resemblance.
4. concerned with or comprehending only what is on the surface or obvious: a superficial observer.
5. shallow; not profound or thorough: a superficial writer.
6. apparent rather than real.
7. insubstantial or insignificant: superficial improvements. "

as if i actually understood any of that? sheesh. and then there was this thing that she did that REALLY pissed me off. So there's this girl that's in one of her classes, and her mom passed away recently. Obviously Proctor Crows wants to help her out in her situation. The thing is, she does it in the WORST WAY POSSIBLE. She tells ALL of her students about it and asks them to help out. Okay, so she had the right INTENTION. but the way that she tried "helping" was so harsh. I'm pretty sure that the girl did NOT want ANYONE to know about it. She probably TRUSTED Proctor Crows to keep it to herself and just help her privately. but NOOOO. Proctor Crows just HAD to butt into it and tell EVERYONE. And I just happened to know one of her friends, and she told me that the girl really did NOT want anyone to know. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH MY ENGLISH TEACHER?! WAS SHE LIKE ABUSED AS A CHILD OR SOMETHING?!?!

topic2: Love Life
ehh nothing much LOL

topic3: Just anything in general
It's almost Christmas, but it doesn't quite feel like it. I mean, its getting a bit colder but there's still no snow. and you know how there's like always a different smell in each season? if not, then OTL it doesnt smell like winter yet. it still smells like autumn. im not complaining since autumn is my FAVORITE season. but its just a bit weird to know that Christmas is only 2 weeks away.

So, for those of you who kindly & patiently read my ranting, I have a question for you! Do you have a/any crazy teacher/s? What are they like? & What's your favorite season? Do you smell the differences between each season like I do or am i just insane?

Second Impression; Nice Job(:

Thu Sep 10, 2009, 3:45 PM
Ok, so I said Second Impression, because it's not the first. First Impressions were yesterday. Yesterday I made approximately 20-30 friends within a school day. That might seem like a lot, but its actually pretty normal; at least it is if you're nice. So wanna know how? It's actually really simple. It's just that people overthink about what to do and end up screwing themselves over.

Method 1: Usual way to do things.
Step 1: When you walk into the room, look around. Look for some *targets that you might be able to relate with and have fun with. Remember, don't judge a book from the cover!

Step 2: After you have chosen 2-4 targets, go up to the closest target [in terms of distance] and introduce yourself. Start with something like "Hi, my name is ______. What's your name?"

Step 3: If they don't say anything else after you tell them your name, don't panic! It's ok, they're just shy. Just take the initiative and ask them a few more questions so you can get to know them. Don't ask for their number or something. Just start some small talk. For instance "What kind of music do you like?" or "What did you do over the summer break?". Nothing big.

Step 4: By now, you two would be considered new friends. After the convo dies a bit, go on to target#2 and repeat steps 2-4 until you have met your goal.

Step 5: But it doesn't end there. Now that you have made a few friends, its time to make some more. That's right. You're not gonna stick to just a few, you're gonna get a LOT(: Now then, to do that, bring all your new friends to a table or just gather them all around. And introduce them to eachother.

Step 6: Wonderful! Now you have your own little group of friends! But still, it doesn't end here. Look around the room. Is anyone sitting all alone? If so, they're probably lonely; invite them to your little group. Repeat steps 2-3 and your other friends will introduce themselves too.

Step 7: What a lovely group of friends you have there(: Nice job! You have now made many friends within minutes.

Method 2: If Everyone's In Their Own Little Group...
Step 1: Ok, so everyone's in their own little group and you're feeling left out. Right? WRONG! This method is actually a LOT easier than the first. Instead of looking for targets, you're gonna look for what i call **mobs. Look for a group of people that look friendly, or are having a great time.

Step 2: Go to that mob, and introduce yourself. Start with something like "Hi, my name is ______. What's your name?". Ask everyone else for their names.

Step 3: If they don't say anything else after you tell them your name, don't panic! It's ok, they just don't know what else to talk about. Just take the initiative and ask them a few more questions so you can get to know them. Don't ask them for their number or something. Just start some small talk. For instance "What kind of music do you like?" or "What did you do over the summer break?". Nothing big.

Step 4: By now, you guys would be considered new friends(: Congrats!

*targets are what i call people that i want to befriend.
**mobs are what i call a GROUP of people that i want to befriend.

Anyway, back to my own little journal(:
Today was GREAT! I made 4 more friends today, they were all from my Living Environment class. They're so nice(: I also kinda got used to the building so I'm not as lost as usual. And the BEST NEWS: I SAW SOME SOPHMORE CUTIES!!! I knew there was hope in LaGuardia!

Lookin' Fresh For School, eh?

Wed Sep 9, 2009, 5:13 PM
Ok, so school started today.
This would be the first day of high school for me. I didn't really expect much, afterall, it IS just school. Anyway, so I made a lot of new friends; its just a matter of remembering their names. They were pretty nice. There was this one girl, her name was Kayla. She was such a sweet girl. My teachers seemed pretty nice too. Well with a few exceptions, of course. My English teacher, Dr. Rowes, reminds me of my math teacher from last year; the devil. She didn't really act that mean, but she had the same sense of humor as Mrs. Glazer[[last year's math teacher]]. My French teacher seemed kinda whacky too. I lost my way and arrived to class a bit late. So I tried to open the door, but it was locked. So i knocked on it, and the teacher yelled at me in French and pointed to the OTHER door. How embarrassing is that? I didn't know that there was another door icon_sweatdrop.gif Oh, right, I didn't tell you her name yet. My French teacher's name is Mme. Mitchelle. She speaks French so well!! I wish I can speak it like her. Except she spoke French the WHOLE time. So I was just sitting there in a room full of sophmores and juniors thinking that the teacher didnt know how to speak English. WRONG She can speak both English and French FLUENTLY!! How cool is that? What sucks is that I have to run from the basement ALL THE WAY to the SIXTH floor EVERYDAY T_T and what REALLY sucks is that there are NO HOT GUYS ANYWHERE T_T
